Leo Varadkar wishes Sinn Fein 'best of luck' in next election but is optimistic coalition will be back in power
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that he believes that the current Government coalition could be reelected following the next General Election.
Speaking on Newstalk’s The Pat Kenny Show, the Taoiseach said that he believes that there is a “very good chance” that the current government will be elected again following the next election in or before Spring 2025. “I never put too much stock in opinion polls because they don't predict the outcome of elections. They certainly didn't last time and they certainly didn't the time before.
Mr Varadkar has continuously ruled out Fine Gael entering Government with Sinn Féin, expressing concern about their politics and policies.
