Taoiseach says he is judged not by his sexual orientation but by his political actions
Mr Varadkar and his partner Matt Barrett met with Mr Pence and his wife Karen at his residence in Washington.

"Our message on this trip is a simple one. We are fully committed to our membership of the EU, and see our place at the heart of the common European home we helped to build. Some members of the US Congress have warned the British government that any return to a hard border could threaten a future post-Brexit trade deal between the UK and the US.
