With the worst of the ‘arctic outbreak’ cold snap over, conditions in the Harrisburg region are expected to warm this week, hitting the 50s by Friday and Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Christmas Day’s high of 25 degrees is anticipated to be the low point of the week, according to the NWS. Although some clouds will arrive Monday, temperatures will continue to warm, with daily highs passing the 40-degree mark Wednesday and into the 50s by Friday. Tonight’s low of 13 degrees will also be the coldest of the week, the NWS is projecting, with nighttime temperatures rising above the freezing point by Thursday evening.Mostly sunny, with a high near 25. West wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.Increasing clouds, with a high near 29. Calm wind becoming west around 6 mph in the morning.Sunny, with a high near 36.
