It looks like we’re in for a glorious couple of days with sunny spells and rising temperatures that will hit 22c on Saturday - however heavy downpours and thunderstorms are set to dampen the weekend on Sunday and into next week.
Met Eireann have released their updated weather forecast for the weekend ahead and it looks like Friday and Saturday will be ideal BBQ and beach weather, with temps set to reach 22c.
Next week will be colder in general, with thunderstorms and rain expected to continue with the possibility of drier weather towards the end of the week.Check out the latest Met Eireann forecast below: Friday night: It will continue dry on Friday night with long clear spells. Mist and fog will form overnight, particularly in parts of the south and west. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in light southeast or variable breezes.
Saturday night: Cloud will increase everywhere on Saturday night with outbreaks of rain in the western areas spreading eastwards overnight. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in light southerly or variable breezes.
