Ten Hag insists Man Utd should not 'panic' over a lack of arrivals, Guardiola says Barcelona-linked Silva makes him 'go weak' and Wolves will offer Neves £100,000 a week to stay
Despite ten Hag having been appointed in April, United have yet to sign the two positions in most glaring need of attention this summer – a midfielder and striker.
“I have not spoken with him yet but he knows I love him, he knows I want him to be here so I will tell him that again,” said ten Hag.“Also last week he was twice in a position where he could score. The team also with his contribution, he was in the right moment in the right place and I know and I trust he will finish in the future.
Guardiola’s declaration about an end to spending leaves the champions with a senior squad of just 21 and only 14 outfield players for today’s visit of Bournemouth, with Aymeric Laporte and Kalvin Phillips out injured and Cole Palmer a doubt. The Portugal midfielder, 25, has two years left on his deal but head coach Bruno Lage is desperate to keep the player.
