Dale Montague, 35, told the victim during an ordeal lasting hours:"I thought I would feel guilty, but I am not leaving here until I have killed you."Montague has now been jailed for five years after he today pleaded guilty to assaulting her to her severe injury, permanent disfigurement and impairment as well as to the danger of her life.Prosecutor Lorraine Glancy KC told the High Court in Glasgow how the pair were known to each other.
Miss Glancy:"He also used a belt but did not like that method as she was able to get a grip on it and release some of the pressure." The court heard the victim also had her head thumped off a wall and soaked with freezing water, leaving her struggling to breathe.
