It’s the European premiere of Evil Dead Rise in a packed Lighthouse cinema in Dublin, and director Lee Cronin is facing the giddy crowd with a mic in hand.
“How many people here don’t really like horror films and are a little scared right now?” he asks, prompting about one third of the audience to sheepishly raise their arms in the air. “Well,” he pauses. “You’re all f**ked,” he says, to cheers of approval.
