The Young Offenders makes a big TV comeback tonight but it's not good news for Irish viewers as the new season is airing on BBC One and won't be on RTE until next year
Hilary Rose is taking RTE ’s decision not to air the new season of The Young Offenders until next year as a positive.
But Hilary isn’t too bogged down by what she initially viewed as negative news because it just means the hit comedy is on screens for more time. Hilary said: “It was totally brilliant getting the band back together. Enough time had passed, we were all rested and had done different projects but wanted to get back together so it was very exciting.”
Having emotional depth and not just comedy makes the smash hit series appealing on an international level. Aside from The Young Offenders, Hilary has starred in TV shows such as Vikings and Smother. How does working on a comedy compare to working on heavier material covered in dramas?
