Looking for a new job is hard enough without having to question each and every thing you’ve stuck up on your C.V.
It is always a good idea to get someone else to check over your resume before you send it in, the folks athave crunched the numbers, and found that the following items on your CV might not only cause you to get paid less if you do land the job, but might harm your chances of actually getting the job in the first place.
At the very top of the list is “Filing”, which the data shows could lead to as much as a 15.4% decrease in potential wages if the employer spots in on your CV.Some of these make sense – if you need to be calling attention to the fact that you can type, then that is a bit of a red flag – but seriously… Dreamweaver?
Somebody out there has Dreamweaving as a skill on their CV? Only in the event that you might be getting a job in a Dreamweaving manufacturer would that be pertinent, and yet somehow it is still less damaging on your CV than putting down “Phone Support”?Regardless, if you have any of the above on your CV and you’re having a tough time finding a new job, it might be time to do some judicious editing.
