In a statement issued on Saturday morning, Drogheda United condemned the actions of supporters and apologised to all who witnessed the incident.
Three arrests have been made following the ugly scenes that marred the end of Dundalk 's 4-2 victory over Drogheda United at Oriel Park on Friday night.
The Gardaí have since confirmed to RTE Sport that three males have been arrested following the incident.
