The firearm and ammunition will now be sent to the Garda Ballistics Unit for further analysis
Gardai have arrested three men following the seizure of a firearm and ammunition in Dublin on Friday.
Three men, aged in their 20s, were arrested and are currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at Garda Stations in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.READ MORE - Heartache as hero, 50s, who died saving young swimmers from sea in Cork is named locally Speaking about this seizure, Chief Superintendent Majella Armstrong said: "I would like to commend the Gardaí involved in this seizure for helping to ensure another dangerous firearm has been taken off our streets.
