Cash strapped households struggling to make ends meet during the long school holiday, can now find a lifeline at one supermarket chain, with free meals offered just by uttering three simple words
Everyone across the UK will have the opportunity to enjoy a free meal this August, thanks to a unique collaboration between Warburtons and Morrisons. The 'Ask for Ellen' campaign is set to launch soon.
Starting next week, 100,000 free portions of crumpets will be made available across Morrisons Cafes for those who use the codeword. The offer extends throughout the day and will last as long as stocks do. Jonathan Warburton, Chairman of Warburtons, also spoke on the community impact of the campaign: "As a family-run business, we have always fostered a strong sense of community. That's why we are so proud to bring back 'Ask for Ellen' for a fourth time. Since launching last year, we will have served almost half a million portions of crumpets, including the 100,000 portions this summer holiday.
