Robinson failed to turn up to a High Court hearing for a contempt of court case against him.
Robinson was due to appear before the High Court on Monday Tommy Robinson left the UK hours after being bailed ahead of a hearing for a High Court case against him, judges have been told. Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, failed to appear at the Royal Courts of Justice on Monday. The far-right activist is accused of breaching the terms of a 2021 court order imposed when he was successfully sued by Syrian refugee Jamal Hijazi for making false claims about him.
Robinson was ordered to pay Mr Hijazi £100,000 and, as is standard practice in such cases, barred from repeating the allegations. Got a story?
