Matthew Horton, who was known lovingly as Babs, died after being stabbed in Litherland
The 32-year-old, whose nickname was Babs, died on Tuesday, September 5 after being stabbed at Sefton View flats on Moss Lane. Paramedics and police attended and carried out CPR but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Many of the cards expressed shockwed at what had happened. One reads: "Wtf lad? Rest easy Bab, lay one on our joe for me. Can't believe this is happening. Forever young." Another says: "Goodnight, god bless, you were one of a kind Babs." He was remanded into custody to appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court today. A 31-year-old woman from Litherland, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, was bailed with conditions.
