Martin 'Fozzy' Fallon, a father-of-two who worked as a paramedic, died suddenly on Friday morning while on duty
Tributes have poured in following the untimely death of former Roscommon GAA footballer Martin 'Fozzy' Fallon.
Tributes have flooded in for the former GAA star, with Roscommon GAA Chairperson Brian Carroll expressing his sympathy to Mr Fallon's family in a statement which reads: "I was deeply shocked and saddened on Friday morning when I learned of the death of Martin ‘Fozzy’ Fallon. On the pitch, Martin was a fine footballer who, for many years, demonstrated immense dedication and commitment to his beloved Strokestown.
It has been announced that a minute’s silence will be observed next Sunday at King & Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park before the Roscommon vs Down game in memory of Mr Fallon. "Everyone at Strokestown GAA extends their deepest sympathies to Ann, Jack, Amy and the extended Fallon family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam."
"We know that Martin was a strong and committed family man, a community activist and a stalwart of both Strokestown GAA and Creggs Rugby Club. His loss will be profound for many.
