Causeway TUV councillor Allister Kyle, a childhood friend of Mr. McKay, spoke of his devastation and shared memories of Jason's dedication to his family and their local Orange lodge. DUP Councillor Sharon Mckillop also expressed her heartbreak, describing Mr. McKay as a hardworking and devoted family man who was deeply loved and respected.Colin Crawford MLA, a staunch supporter and friend, highlighted Mr. McKay's commitment to his family, work ethic, and devotion to his community. He extended his condolences to the bereaved family and praised the outpouring of love and respect for Mr. McKay. UUP Alderman Sandra Hunter, remembering Mr. McKay's friendliness and kindness within the farming and building communities, offered her deepest sympathies to the family. A spokesperson for the PSNI confirmed they attended the scene and are continuing their inquiries. The death is not being treated as suspicious, and the Health and Safety Executive NI has been informed. Mr. McKay's funeral will be held on Friday afternoon at Dunseverick Parish Church, followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard
