Kids overnight scouting trips could be a thing of the past if Child and Family Agency Tusla gets its way, it has emerged.
The period during which abuse is believed to have taken place at the young person’s organisation is between the 1960s and 1980s.Ms Zappone told her Dáil colleagues that Tusla had made eight recommendations to the organisation’s chief executive Dr John Lawlor. “Consideration should be given to nominate the CEO of Scouting Ireland to be the principle liason in relation to work on children first."
