Irish authorities are urgently seeking witnesses following a serious single-vehicle car crash in County Wexford on Wednesday night. Emergency services were called to the scene on the R734 road at Poulfur, Fethard-on-Sea, around 11:40 pm. A male driver, in his 20s, was transported to Waterford University Hospital with severe injuries. The female passenger, also in her 20s, was taken to Wexford General Hospital for treatment.

The road remains closed to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to conduct a thorough examination of the accident site. Diversions are in place to manage traffic flow. Gardaí are particularly requesting anyone with dash-cam footage of the incident or who may have witnessed the crash to come forward and share their information. A Garda spokesperson made a public appeal, stating, “Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision which occurred at Poulfur, Fethard-on-Sea, Co. Wexford yesterday, Wednesday, 5 February.” They added, “Those with camera footage, including motorists with dash-cam, from the area at the time are asked to provide it to investigating Gardaí. “Anyone with any information is asked to contact New Ross Garda Station on (051) 426030, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
