Clayton visited the Dublin Dog Hub in Finglas several weeks ago.
U2 star Adam Clayton adopted three hedgehogs after visiting Linda Martin ’s dog rescue centre as part of his documentary series, Ballroom Blitz.
Linda said: “A few weeks ago we had the absolute privilege of welcoming good friend Adam Clayton to the Hub for an afternoon of tea, chats & fun with all of our gorgeous dogs. “Adam was full of praise for our staff & all the work we do to help the wonderful dogs and as a big animal man.. he was truly heartbroken listening to some of the sad cases that we have had in our care recently.
“As we finished up our afternoon, Adam noticed a pet caddy and inquired what was inside - 3 little hedgehogs dropped into us by @hedgehog_rescue_dublin. The Irish showbands entertained young audiences in Ireland during a moment of growth and prosperity in the 1960s. They were normally a seven or eight piece outfit with powerful horn sections and they interspersed waltzes, Irish music and jazz with the pop hits of the day.
