Valve finally abandons CS2 Mac users, offering refunds to a select few

Valve has finally abandoned Mac users, with refunds being offered to a select few who meet criteria.

Previously, we had reported that the CS2 update cut Mac users off from purchases worth hundreds. Now, a few weeks on, the final nail in the coffin may have been hit. Valve are now offering refunds to a select few players who had purchased the Prime Status upgrade, so long as “most of their CS:GO playtime was on macOS and they played CS:GO on a Mac” between the announcement of the Limited Test and CS2’s actual launch.

Personally, I’m a pretty empathetic person. CS2 fans, or PC Master Race fanatics, on the other hand, are not. One Redditor asks “would Mac users who want to game not simply sell their productivity tool for a gaming tool? Are they stupid?” While another comments on the fact that complaints are incoming. Others have been slightly more frustrated with the situation saying that “Macs are good enough for low demanding games,” which CS:GO and CS2 are no-doubt.
