The 23-year-old stopped Przemyslaw Runowski inside two rounds to record the tenth stoppage win of his career
Callum Walsh overcame sickness to deliver a stunning knockout performance at the 3Arena on Friday night.
The Freddie Roach-trained southpaw stunned his opponent with another at the end of the first round and when the left landed again with just over a minute left in the second, Runowski, who had never been stopped in 25 previous fights, couldn't get back up in time. "I was cold, I was sweating, I felt very sick. I didn't tell anybody. But when I got out there and I heard the crowd, it woke me up, I got rid of it.
That bout is expected to come at Madison Square Garden before Walsh's team focus will switch to trying to bring him to his native Cork for an event next summer.
