Later this year, the American football teams from Georgia Tech and Florida State will face each other in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium for the Aer Lingus College Football Classic. To celebrate the upcoming match which will see former Kerry Minor David Shanahan represent Georgia Tech, Kerry, the game’s official partner , decided to put a number of Gaelic football players to the test.
But can they rise to the challenge? Will they be able to find their inner American football champs? Or will they find out that their skillset is better suited to the Gaelic football field?The collision of Gaelic and American football came courtesy of the Kerry Group, who are celebrating all things Kerry ahead of David Shanahan’s return to Irish soil later this year.
