WATCH: Michael Fry gets to grips with crochet on Lyons' Square Talk
As a society, we have borne witness to some truly incredible innovations, and the latest promises to be just as impactful.
I'm talking, of course, about the latest idea brewed up by the folks at Lyons Tea. The beloved Irish tea company have been experimenting with form and shape, and their latest creation shows that their efforts have not been in vain. That's right, Lyons teabags now come in a square shape. The decision to replace the old pyramid bags was made to improve both quality and material and to champion an eco-friendly approach that uses less packagaing. The boxes, meanwhile are fully recyclable, plant-based and there's no plastic overwrap either. But don't worry, the square teabags are still brimming with that same Lyons flavour we all know and love. New shape, same great taste.
To get the ball rolling – and to put Lyons' brand new square teabags to the test – we are pleased to unveil our brand new show, Square Talk with Michael Square. As Lyons put the talk into tea, we called upon comedian Michael Fry and invited iconic crochet artist Susan Banks around for a cuppa Lyons and a chit-chat.During Square Talk, Susan kindly gave Michael the 411 on crocheting, and also showed off some of her famous designs, including the wonderfully lovely Michael Tea Higgins.
