Speaking following the Brexit votes in Westminster, the Taoiseach said he believes 'things look a bit brighter today than they did yesterday'.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said he believes the situation regarding Brexit "looks a bit brighter today" than it did yesterday after MPs at Westminster voted against a no-deal exit.
Mr Varadkar used the opportunity to highlight the two-way economic relationship that exists between Ireland and the US.More than 520 Irish companies have operations across all 50 US states, employing more than 100,000 US workers. The Taoiseach has confirmed his partner Matt Barrett will accompany him when he meets US Vice President Mike Pence tomorrow.
