Mistakes were made and we let Sue down
We all have regrets in life, and a recent one of mine was not ordering Sue's 'famous' breakfast and instead being distracted by nostalgia. Let me explain.
However, when I stumbled across Sue's Cumbria Snack Bar tucked away in the comer of the main square in little picturesque market town of Milnthorpe, I was drawn to the spam bun on the menu. Mainly because I haven't seen the World War Two 'Spam Fleet' staple my grandparents ate a lot on a menu anywhere for about two decades. So I ate one of the pork shoulder and ham-based filling butties.
Some may say Spam is 'juicy' but I'll argue greasy is a far more accurate description and it soon turned my barmcake soggy. Ok, so besides needing a huge glug of water after my lunch, I need to tell you about Sue's Cumbria Snack Bar. Sue is clearly proud of her staying ability as 'est 1995' is plastered in bold white lettering on the front of the van. And so she should be as she's created a welcoming set-up, complete with a covered seating cabin with heater.
