Ireland has endured unusually cool and rainy weather since the start of summer - but weather maps indicate a warm spell could be on the cards. Met Eireann has raised hopes that unsettled conditions could end mid-June.
Ireland looks set to finally enjoy some typical summer weather, with maps indicating that warm temperatures and blue skies could make a glorious comeback.
However, that could all change mid-June with weather maps currently suggesting the country could see an upcoming period settled and warm weather.READ MORE: Taylor Swift Dublin bag rules confirmed as warning issued to ticket holders For the following week of Monday, June 24 to Sunday, June 30, it continued: "This week is indicated to be more settled as high pressure continues to build and having more of an influence over the country with a largely slack airflow. Much of the country will have around average temperatures, possibly a bit warmer than normal in the southwest. Drier than average conditions are expected throughout the country. No hazardous weather is indicated.
"Monday will be much brighter day with good spells of sunshine and plenty of dry weather. Some well scattered showers will occur, most frequent along northern facing coasts. Highest temperatures ranging from 13C near northern coasts to 18C in the south, all in light to moderate north to northwest winds. Dry and clear Monday night apart from isolated showers along northern coasts. Lowest temperatures of 3C to 9C in a light northerly breeze.
