The service was rated 'adequate' by the Care Inspectorate and an action plan has been put in place.
The outcome of the inspection of Care at Home Services by the Care Inspectorate between March 15 and March 24 was reviewed at a meeting of West Dunbartonshire’s Health and Social Care Partnership Audit Committee.
After the visit had finished, inspectors met with key members of the Care at Home service and Senior Management Team to provide feedback and their thoughts before the report was released. These are that the provider must ensure that care plans are reflective of care and support that is right for the service user and is reviewed on a six month basis; the provider must look at and improve communication systems when people are going home after being in hospital, and that the provider must make sure people and staff are looked after and kept safe by making sure the staff is properly trained.
