The morning commute could be a messy one on Wednesday as heavy snow is possible, forecasts say.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Another round of snow is expected Wednesday in Northeast Ohio and it’s timing might be unfortunate for commuters.

Total accumulations of 3 to 4 inches are possible before the snow turns into a wintry mix, then becomes rain during the afternoon, according to the NWS. Temperatures will start in the low 30s but reach the mid-30s in the afternoon. In surrounding areas, a winter weather advisory is in effect in several counties from 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday. There could be 3-4 inches of sleet and snow accumulation in Erie, Holmes, Huron, Knox, Lorain, Mahoning, Marion, Medina, Morrow, Portage, Richland, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Wayne and Wyandot counties.
