Police and paramedics were called to the incident in the Rosewood Avenue of the town on Friday evening . The victim was later taken to hospital for treatment and officers said his 'injuries are not as serious as first thought'.
Michelle Halstead, from Burnley, was arrested the next day and charged with section 18 wounding. She was remanded to appear before Blackburn Magistrates Court on Monday .The 33-year-old was bailed to live at Faraday Street in Burnley and not to enter Haslingden. She will next appear at Burnley Crown Court on November 16. A 39-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the incident and was released on bail pending further enquiries.
A Rossendale Police spokesperson said: "You may have noticed increased Police presence around the Rosewood Avenue area of Haslingden on Friday evening. Ambulance were called to the area following a report of a male being stabbed in the back. "He was later taken to hospital for treatment although the injuries are not as serious as first thought. Michelle Halstead, aged 33, was arrested the following day and later charged with wounding .
"She was remanded to court where she appeared on Monday morning and was granted bail to live at an address in Burnley and not to enter Haslingden. A male, aged 39, has been released on bail pending further enquiries."
