The woman, 40s, remains in hospital following the alleged assault on Friday morning
The alleged assault occurred at approximately 8.00am on Friday October 20 at the R108 in Huntstown.
The woman, aged in her 40s, was later taken to Beaumont Hospital where she was admitted and is continuing to receive treatment. Her injuries are understood to not be life-threatening.Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area between 7.30am and 8.15am or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward to them. In particular, those who may have video footage. Gardaí can be contacted at Dublin Airport Station on 01 666 4950.
