A woman in her 50s was hospitalized following a hit-and-run collision in Cork on Wednesday afternoon. Emergency services responded to the scene on Mount Agnes Road at approximately 2:10 pm following a two-vehicle crash. The driver of one of the vehicles fled the scene, leaving the other driver, a woman in her 50s, injured. She was transported to Cork University Hospital for treatment.

The spokesperson stated: 'Gardaí are investigating a hit-and-run road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 2:10pm on Wednesday afternoon, 12 February, on Mount Agnes Road in Cork City. 'The collision involved two vehicles. The driver of one vehicle failed to remain at the scene. 'The female driver of the second vehicle (aged in her 50s) was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment of what are understood to be non-life threatening injuries. Mount Agnes Road is open to traffic. Investigations are ongoing.
