A Garda spokesperson confirmed that Mount Agnes Road has since reopened to traffic and investigations into the incident are ongoing. The spokesperson stated: 'Gardaí are investigating a hit-and-run road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 2:10pm on Wednesday afternoon, 12 February, on Mount Agnes Road in Cork City. 'The collision involved two vehicles. The driver of one vehicle failed to remain at the scene. 'The female driver of the second vehicle (aged in her 50s) was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment of what are understood to be non-life threatening injuries. Mount Agnes Road is open to traffic. Investigations are ongoing.
