Breaking: Woman suffers 'serious injuries' as car ends up on roof after A56 Accrington Bypass smash
A young woman was rushed to hospital with 'serious injuries' after a two-vehicle smash left one car on its roof.
Lancashire Constabulary said the collision happened when a Toyota CH-R travelling north approached the roundabout at junction eight for the M65 and was struck from behind by a Mercedes C220. Both cars ended up on the grass with the Toyota landing on its roof.A woman in her 20s from Nelson, who was a passenger in the Toyota, suffered 'serious injuries' and was taken to hospital for treatment. The driver of the Toyota, a man in his 40s from Nelson, suffered more minor injuries.
