It will come into effect at 6am on Sunday morning and remain in place until 6pm on Sunday evening, with Met Éireann flagging “strong and gusty winds” which will damage structures and trees already weakened by Storm Eowyn and lead to dangerous travelling conditions.
A Status Yellow rain warning, meanwhile, has also been issued to Carlow, Kilkenny, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford. It will come into effect at 5am on Sunday morning and remain in place until 5pm on Sunday evening, with heavy downpours of rain possibly leading to spot flooding in the worst affected areas.
