I haven’t seen or spoken to my dad for over 11 years. My parents divorced when I was only seven and, from what my mother has told me, she couldn’t wait to see the back of him. The way she tells it, it sounds like he hurt her a lot and, by all accounts, he was a mean drunk with a really bad gambling problem.
