Labour’s Alan Kelly and Mr Martin got into a heated exchange in the Dáil chamber when Mr Kelly was asking Mr Martin about people entering the Garda College without being vetted.
Ceann Comhairle Verona Murphy has told Taoiseach Micheál Martin to “stop acting like a child” in the Dáil.
Both men continued to heckle each other across the chamber when the allocated time was up, despite Ms Murphy calling on the next TD to speak and asking them to sit down. Ms Murphy’s interjection came shortly after Mr Martin was accused of being “increasingly tetchy” in the Dáil by Ms Bacik during a debate on housing during Leaders Questions.
