We’re always hoping for a magical white Christmas but it looks like it’s not on the cards this year. As it stands, we’re in for a very mild Christmas , with temps ranging between 10 and 12 degrees and no frost - meaning a zero chance of snowfall.
Friday: A band of rain will push eastwards across the country Friday morning. The rain will gradually clear the southeast coast around midday. Blustery conditions with a mix of sunshine and scattered showers will then follow for the afternoon. The showers will become increasingly isolated by evening time. Maximum temperatures will generally range between 8 and 10 or 11 degrees Celsius.
Saturday night: Cold and blustery on Saturday night with clear spells and scattered showers, some of the showers possibly wintry especially in parts of Ulster. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 4 degrees.
