Coronation Street star Claire Sweeney said she was 'moved to tears' over Ricky Hatton just days after the boxer opened up about their new romance for the first time. The couple first got tongues wagging about a relationship after being spotted on a series of pub dates earlier in the year.
And last Sunday , Ricky was seen on the red carpet at the BAFTA Television Awards 2024 after his Sky documentary, Hatton, was up for a gong. When on the red carpet, Ricky was asked about his and Claire's recent holiday to which he replied to The Sun: "It was great! Claire is like me, I’ve met someone who I get on with like a house on fire. She is just like me. We spend our whole time laughing together. Claire is just like me - she’s so down to earth."
Claire has now returned to social media having rewatched Ricky's nominated documentary, which missed out on the prestigious gong to former Paralympic champion Ellie Simmonds and her film, Finding My Secret Family, and she shared how it left her feeling emotional.
