Dublin is gearing up for a massive New Year's Eve celebration with over 50,000 visitors expected to flock to the city. Fáilte Ireland's three-day New Year's Festival Dublin 2024 will feature a mix of free and ticketed events, with over fifty acts performing throughout the duration of the festival.

New Year’s Eve is one of the biggest holidays worldwide, and it’s expected to be a busy one for Dublin this year with more than 50,000 people expected to arrive in the capital to celebrate the beginning of the new year. Fáilte Ireland’s three-day New Year’s Festival Dublin 2024 returns for the next three days with a selection of both free and ticketed events taking place all over the county with over fifty acts set to play over the course of the festival.

Director of Product Development at Fáilte Ireland Orla Carroll has said that this year’s festivities are expected to host a huge crowd of over 50,000 to the city centre: ‘A flagship event in Fáilte Ireland’s Winter in Dublin programme, festivals like NYF Dublin are an important part of the Irish tourism offering and essential for supporting local businesses and communities, especially during the shoulder season. “This year, we’re expecting to welcome over 50,000 local, domestic and international visitors to Dublin City. Along with our partners in the Office of Public Works, Fingal County Council and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Council, we encourage everyone to enjoy this spectacular three-day celebration as we ring in the New Year in Dublin.” December 30th The music trail kicks off as part of NYF this evening in bars across Dublin with Caz and Eve Wilde taking over Wigwam from 5pm to 7pm. Burnchurch and Ciaran Moran will be live at The Storyteller at the same time. Hotgirl and Cliffords will be upstairs at Whelan’s from 5.30pm to 7pm, with Workman’s Cellar hosting Grooveline and Soft Launch at the same times. Kylabelle and The Highstool Prophets grace the Hyde Rooftop from 5.30pm to 7pm. Pygmalion will host Horse Meat Disco, Kelly-Anne Byrne and Colin Perkins hit Pygmalion from 8pm onward
