It was World Cup heartbreak for the Lionesses in Australia seven days ago as they missed out on winning the trophy for the first time after being beaten 1-0 by Spain

It has been a draining summer both physically and emotionally for the Lionesses, but players have at least been able to enjoy a holiday this week.

There was controversy when the players returned to Heathrow Airport this week, with officials leading them through a VIP exit, leaving a number of fans disappointed having turned up to welcome them home. The FA have since clarified what transpired, and now players have taken the opportunity for some well earned downtime.
