Anyone who has bought one of the affected cheese products is being warned that they may be infected with Listeria, which can lead to 'severe' illness in some cases
An urgent recall has been issued for multiple cheeses sold in a number of different supermarkets due to the possible presence of Listeria.
In alerts posted on their website, the Food Safety Authority warned that a number of batches of cheese contained Listeria monocytogenes.The full list of cheeses currently being recalled are as follows:In their statements, the FSAI warned about the dangers of Listeria: "Symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes infection can include mild flu-like symptoms, or gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.
