Home of the Year judge and architect Hugh Wallace opens up about his favourite part of the show, why this year is the best year ever and the disagreements between the judges

One of Ireland's best-known architects, Hugh Wallace, is recognisable to most people in Ireland thanks to his work on RTÉ's Home of the Year and The Great Home Revival.

Ahead of the show, we caught up with Hugh to chat about all things interiors, why this year is the show's "best year" and he reveals why he and his fellow judges Amanda Bone and Siobhan Lam sometimes disagree. Hugh has been judging the show for 11 years, but despite the length of time, it never gets old. "Every house is different, and having different judges brings a freshness to the programme. There’s been eight judges so far. They all come from different backgrounds and that adds to it."
