Ireland faces a massive restoration effort following Storm Éowyn, with all available resources mobilized. The ESB Networks, supported by international assistance, are working tirelessly to restore power, while the National Emergency Co-ordination Group (NECG) focuses on water, telecoms, and other essential services. Fallen wires and damage pose risks, with authorities urging caution and reporting any incidents. Generators provided by Poland and Denmark bolster the recovery effort.

It said all available crews and resources, partner contractors and international support are being mobilised to restore power to all customers as soon as possible.

“We are working over the weekend to restore supply to all remaining customers as soon as possible,” the company said. In addition to the crews deployed, over 1,300 support staff are involved in overseeing damage assessment, emergency call management, logistics and network operations. “It will remain open for the coming week in areas which are still experiencing broadband connectivity issues given that mock exams are currently under way,” the group said, in a statement.Met Éireann

It said only trained operators equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment should ever use chainsaws.
