Storm Eowyn continues to cause disruption as 700,000 remain without power this morning

As Ireland wakes up to the havoc wreaked by Storm Eowyn, Met Eireann has updated a number of weather warnings for the hours ahead.

This comes as more than 700,000 households remain without power as a result of the damage caused by the severe winds overnight, while approximately 150,000 Uisce Eireann customers may be at risk of water supply disruption today. The Status Red warning will be in place until midday for Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo and 2pm for Donegal.

Between 12pm and 4pm today, all of Munster, Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Wexford and Wicklow will find themselves under a Status Yellow wind warning, which will remain valid for Donegal between 4pm and 11pm.
