The first baby of 2025 born in Ireland arrived in Dublin at 19 seconds past midnight on New Year 's Day. Baby Bradley was the first bundle of joy of the new year , born to proud parents Eve Colley and Eric Tyrell from the capital at precisely 12:00:19am at the National Maternity Hospital on Holles Street. Bradley is the couple's first child - and he also decided to make his grand entrance two weeks early.
Just nine minutes later, another baby boy was welcomed into the world across town at the Rotunda Hospital, with Martha Gilroy Kelly giving birth at 12:09am. Meanwhile, things were hopping in Drogheda, with eight babies born there since the clock struck twelve. The first, a baby boy, made his appearance at 1:32am. Those born today are the trailblazers of a new generation, known as Generation Beta
