The TV presenter told how she has been taking hot lemon drinks after her voice went during the week
Kathryn Thomas is hoping her voice doesn’t fail her ahead of her co-hosting Rose of Tralee duties tomorrow.
“But between Dáithí and his leg and me and my voice. He had a fall, they had to put his knee back in. He was in bed for a week then he was on crutches. Now he’s only on one crutch. We’re hoping he’ll be OK by Monday, we’ll give him the queen’s chair if not. “It’s Dáithí who has elevated the party pieces from poems and songs to the women doing all sorts of stuff, and then James Patrice coming in adding to the craic. I wanted to bring a new female energy to the show.”
“If you live on the North Island in New Zealand, to have the opportunity to come home and be a part of the Irish craic and the madness and singing and Dáithí in the dome, to be a part of that is important to them. She joked: “I cried a tear of joy leaving the house today... ah, no, I will miss them. It’s the only way we remember our anniversary as it coincides with the Rose of Tralee. He cooked me dinner before I left. My present to him was leaving the two girls Ellie and Grace with him for the week.”
