Actor John Connors confirms that Netflix is reviving hit Irish crime drama Love/Hate with plans for back-to-back seasons six and seven. Connors also reveals that Nidge, his character's arch nemesis, is alive, much to the shock of fans who thought he was killed off in Season Five.
Actor John Connors has confirmed that Netflix is taking over the return of hit crime drama Love/Hate - and that his character's arch nemesis Nidge is alive!
In an update on Facebook on Friday, the star, who plays Patrick Ward in the gritty gangland show, said that RTE would not be involved in its return. He said Netflix is taking it on, and that plans were afoot to film series six and seven back-to-back.He replied: "No, it's not on RTE, it's on Netflix, they're bringing it back, a bit like what they did with Top Boy. I'll give you a little exclusive on it. We're shooting back to back seasons. So season six and season seven.
The revelation that gang boss Nidge, played by actor Tom Vaughan Lawlor, will shock fans who were sure he had been killed off at the end of Season Five, when it aired on RTE in 2014.
