Gardaí arrested a man in his 30s following the discovery of another man's body in his 60s at a home in Cluain Fada, New Ross. Emergency services responded to the scene shortly after 11:00 am where the deceased man was pronounced dead. The scene has been preserved for technical examination, and a postmortem will be arranged. Gardaí are appealing for information and camera footage from the area.

Shortly after 11:00am, gardaí and emergency services responded to an incident at a home in Cluain Fada, New Ross, where the man was found unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. A man in his 30s was arrested nearby and taken to a Garda station in the Eastern Region to be questioned under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. The scene has been preserved for technical examination by the Garda technical mureau. They are seeking any available camera footage, including dashcam recordings, from those who were in the vicinity of Cluain Fada, New Ross at the time of the incident.
