Emergency services responded to the collision on the B8039, near Lenziemill Road, involving a green Kawasaki motorcycle and a red Hyundai Tucson car at around 6.50pm on Thursday.
A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a horror crash in Cumbernauld on Thursday evening.
The motorcyclist, a 28-year-old man, was seriously injured and taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
