There has been several reports that people can expect a blistering bank holiday this May as odds on Ireland getting a high temperatures are up, with Met Eireann chiming in with their forecast
Met Eireann has given their verdict on this May bank holiday getting a heatwave as conditions have been confirmed.

The rain will linger across the west and south through to this afternoon and may be heavy at times too. Staying drier further north however with moderate blustery winds. Highest temperatures of 8 to 13 degrees but staying rather mild in the north with highs of 15 to 18 degrees.
Cloudy and wet with outbreaks of rain, possibly heavy at times too ON Friday night. There will be some drier intervals but it will be a largely damp and cloudy night. Light winds and lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees
