The August bank holiday weekend wasn't what we had in mind when it came to the weather - but unfortunately it looks like the rain isn't going anywhere anytime soon
Met Eireann have revealed what weather is on the cards this weekend after a less than ideal bank holiday weekend.
While temperatures are set to spike this weekend with highs of 24 degrees on the cards, conditions will remain unsettled. Looking ahead to next week, they add: "Unsettled with further spells of rain and breezy conditions at times."Wednesday 7th August This morning will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers. It will become drier and brighter in most areas through the afternoon and evening, but turning cloudy in the southwest with some patchy light rain or drizzle here by evening. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees with moderate to fresh southwest to west winds easing later.
Friday 9th August A brighter day with a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers. The showers will be most frequent in the west and north with largely dry conditions in the southeast. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees in moderate to fresh westerly winds. A mix of clear spells and scattered showers overnight. Lowest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees in moderate southwest winds.
